Recognised as one of Australia’s top meat suppliers, the À La Carte Meats business has developed through three generations of butchers from rural Queensland.
It was this daily first hand experience that created in business owner Geoff Atkinson an empathetic awareness that most fresh meat retailers and food service outlets were paying a premium for their meat because they could not benefit from purchasing on a large scale.
After providing quality meat cuts to the retail and food service market for many years from small boning rooms, À La Carte Meats was born in 2006 specifically to supply the best quality wholesale meat from around Australia for fresh meat retailers and the best food service businesses locally and abroad.
The À La Carte Meats facility is fitted with Australia’s most advanced portioning equipment and utilises the latest technological advancements to increase speed, improve precision and reduce costs.
The business has a clear business strategy and industry alliances that enables it to channel the best premium cattle from leading growers through its processing, wholesaling, distribution and export markets.
Today, À La Carte Meats is an internationally accredited supplier of quality meat cuts across Australia and to many overseas markets, including Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
We have a key business focus to ensure our high quality standards are maintained while customising our meats to meet the specific needs of clients, both here and overseas.
This includes working with leading chefs to create exclusive cuts, enabling those businesses to create their own unique menus; creating special pre-packs for retailers, enabling them to relabel our meats under their own brands; and meeting the ongoing demands from ever-increasing export markets.
