Geoff Atkinson – Managing Director
After spending his childhood weekends travelling around the rural areas of Mackay with his father and grandfather to buy cattle for the family butchery, it is no wonder that Geoff Atkinson developed a passion for the Australian meat industry and started his own retail butcher shop when he was only 25 years old. As a youngster listening to the casual comments of long-term cattle growers, butchers and chefs, Geoff also developed a vision to create a wholesale meat service and range of meat products that better meet the needs of the oft-forgotten “middle” market such as smaller butchers and other fresh meat retailers, and the wide range of foodservice outlets like restaurants, caterers, cafes and fast food outlets. He established a number of small Australian meat boning rooms to service local markets, and built strong relationships with some of the leading Australian cattle and sheep growers and processors in the industry. It is this lifetime of working in the Australian meat industry and listening to those who work at the coalface of the meat business on a daily basis that Geoff has developed strong and clear philosophies that are making a difference.
Adrian Cronin –
Operations Manager
Adrian has worked in the Australian meat industry his whole life, starting at Beak & Johnston as an apprentice butcher and working his way to management roles in quality assurance, research and development, purchasing, production and commercial sales. As a qualified butcher with qualifications in food science and business, those roles gave Adrian an extensive knowledge of the meat and food industries. It was a no-brainer for Adrian to move from Sydney to Brisbane in 2013 to take on a much broader role with À La Carte Meats as it expands and strengthens its market position.
Melissa Makepeace –

Paul Clack – Sales
There is one thing about the meat and hospitality industry – if you don’t understand people’s needs and enjoy the business, you will not survive. Testimony to his personality and industry knowledge is Paul. Not only has Paul worked in hospitality for 40 years but he has gained himself 28 years in the meat industry, including working with À La Carte Meats since 2006. While Paul’s industry knowledge and high level of service is greatly appreciated… what our suppliers and customers value most, is his ability to work well within a team, whilst catering the best options for their needs.
